At NFRH, Our Nurses Count...
|
 |
...and we want the world to know. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be showcasing some of the ways our nurses have demonstrated their superior skills and talents within Tenet hospitals.
Our Nurses Make the Grade with Quality Data
Nurses are critical team members who have contributed to the success Tenet has achieved in quality. Clinical quality success is rated according to data compiled by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Hospitals self report data on 22 key metrics for treating heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and infection control. Fourteen of these core measures are nurse sensitive—meaning nurses play the leading role—and Tenet’s nurses do not disappoint. With a score of 92.9 percent for Quarters 1 – 2 of 2007, Tenet’s nurses are making the grade and blowing away the 2006 national average (86.7 percent for nurse sensitive data).
When it comes to the quality of our hospitals, what our nurses do really does count! Congratulations to our exceptional nurse team!
