Because moving should not be a pain
Learn about our new, custom fit knee replacement procedure OtisKnee
Pain of the joints can hinder your ability to function comfortably. The Joint Replacement Center at North Fulton Regional Hospital is here to offer an alternative. We are dedicated to giving you a choice between the suffering of joint pain and the freedom joint replacement can potentially provide.
An essential aspect of the program is the group element, which exists both before and after the procedure has been performed. From the pre-operative class to discharge, patients are able to experience the program with others just like them. At the Joint Replacement Center, you can be assured that you are not alone.
Program Components
- Monthly Seminar: Options for Managing Hip and Knee Pain

Education
Contributing to the success of this program is the educational component for both the patients and their family members. This provides everyone involved with the general knowledge necessary before committing to a surgical procedure with the goal of maximizing comfort.
Physical and occupational therapists, nurses and pharmacists participate in the pre-operative classes and give patients information on anesthesia, pain medications and what to expect before, during and after the procedure.
Recovery Time
The length of stay in the hospital is usually three days after surgery. During this time, patients will participate in various group and individual therapy sessions and classes with the goal of getting them out of the hospital and back to their lives as soon as possible.
