Interest in Bariatrics
I am a weight loss surgery patient myself. In March of 2001 I had gastric bypass surgery (I weighed 400 lbs.). Overweight since the age of 6 and on a diet since the age of 11, I have first hand knowledge of what it is like to live as an obese individual. I thank God everyday that I had the opportunity to have gastric bypass. I feel like I am now living life instead of watching life pass me by. It is so much more than what I look like…it’s what I can do now. I am 46 years old and I feel like I can physically do anything.

Life is so good in this body! After spending several years as a volunteer helping people with their weight loss journeys, I am now fortunate enough to get to do it as my career, and I love it! I have walked in their shoes, and I think this helps them with their path.
