Interest in Bariatrics
I am interested in bariatrics because of the profound metabolic effects, which often results in resolution of weight related illness such as diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and sleep apnea. Weight loss surgery can produce tremendous patient satisfaction and a positive psychosocial effect on individual patients as well as their family members.
Personal goals for the Bariatric Center
I would like the bariatric center to become a nationally recognized center of excellence with active clinical research in innovative bariatric techniques and medical management.
Personal hobbies and interests
Caribbean travel, water sports, golf and motorcycles.
Inspiration
Jump right out into life and make your own special splash. Forget about what conventional wisdom says, or what is normal or comfortable, and listen to your passion. One of the worst things you can do is to create lifelong regrets out of missed opportunities. – Ralph Marston
