North Fulton Regional Hospital is proud to welcome Dr. Uthan Vivek to the surgical team.  Dr. Vivek brings with him a specialization in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.

     Prior to his appointment at NFRH, Dr. Vivek served as a Surgeon in the United Kingdom at various hospitals including Scunthrope General Hospital, Macclesfield General Hospital and Royal Albert Edward Infirmary.  He is also Board certified by the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow (FRCS).            

     A member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association, Dr. Vivek received both his M.D. degree and his M.S. degree in General Surgery from Madras College in India.  He is Board Certified in General Surgery (FACS) and recently completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.            

     Dr. Vivek’s active research and presentation list includes Chronic Venous Insufficiency in the General Population, Management of Iliac Artery Aneurysms, and Peripheral Vascular Disease.            

     Within his practice, Dr. Vivek treats patients with a variety of disease conditions relating to arteries and veins.  This includes Aortic, Carotid and Aneurysm Surgeries, Carotid Stent, Varicose and Spider Vein Sclerotherapy and wound care for leg and foot ulcers.  He runs an active Vascular Studies Lab in his office where he performs ultrasound scans and other investigations for his patients.
