Almost two years of construction and facility planning culminated on Thursday, September 6, as North Fulton Regional Hospital cut the ribbon on the new, 58,000 square foot patient tower. This expansion takes the hospital from 167 beds to 202, an increase of approximately 20 percent.
North Fulton Regional Hospital CEO Joe Austin spoke to a crowd that included public officials, hospital board members, physicians, community members and hospital staff. Following the address and ribbon cutting, attendees of the ceremony enjoyed a guided tour of each new area, including the nine new operating suites, recovery unit, and critical care floor, which combines the critical care, intensive care and neuro intensive care units that were once separate entities. |
