Letter from the CNO

At North Fulton Regional Hospital, nursing care and practice combine the warmth and friendliness of the local hospital with the sophistication of a regional facility. Examples of this combination are found in the level II Trauma Program, certified stroke service and other neuroscience initiatives, and the intermediate level perinatal and neonatal programs. The new patient tower and several additional renovation projects support the hospital mission of providing quality consistent healthcare.
Being in a Tenet Health Care Hospital ensures support for evidence-based practice and ample opportunities for networking within nursing. The Commitment to Quality, or performance improvement initiative, focuses on superior clinical outcomes and continual patient care system advances that have resulted in excellent core measures achievement. The customer service program, “Signature Service,” is designed to achieve 100 percent satisfaction of patients and physicians and is linked to a positive work culture of satisfied employees. Each member of the hospital staff is challenged to make the connection with patients, to inspire confidence and to take the initiative in their work everyday.
North Fulton Regional Hospital offers a competitive and comprehensive wage and benefit program to staff and structures its competency-based orientation program to the individual. There are flexible scheduling options, including weekend programs, as well as a clinical advancement program for bedside nurses. Staff development is a priority at North Fulton Regional Hospital where we offer support for specialty certification. A summer externship exists for upper year nursing students, and education is routinely offered to meet the needs of the nursing staff. The involvement of staff in decision making regarding care and practice is an expectation.
I invite you to learn more about opportunities at North Fulton Regional Hospital by speaking with the nurse recruiter. She can be reached at 770-751-2646. You just might be that new staff member we are seeking for our team.
Sincerely yours,
Linda Scholfield Chief Nursing Officer
