NFRH has become the first institution in north metro Atlanta to offer custom-fit total knee replacement with OtisKnee. Using advanced 3-T MRI imaging and computerized 3-D imaging, orthopedic surgeons can more precisely match the size and placement of the implant to the patient’s unique and normal (non-arthritic) knee anatomy. The goal of the new custom-fit approach is to enable surgeons to preserve more of the patient’s own bone and ligaments, allowing for better implant fit and alignment.
