Employees, families and patients from Atlanta Medical Center, North Fulton Regional Hospital, South Fulton Medical Center, Spalding Regional Medical Center, Sylvan Grove Hospital along with Tenet Central-Northeast Southern States Regional Office, participated in the 2004 Atlanta Heart Walk. Nearly 250 people turned out for the event.
Together the Tenet Georgia teams collected more than $61,000, making it one of the top fundraisers for this year’s Atlanta Heart Walk.
Chris Hummer, chief executive officer at South Fulton Medical Center, served as the chairperson for the 2004 Atlanta Heart Walk. Tenet Healthcare Foundation sponsored the Red Caps for the event. The Red Caps are special walkers who survived some type of cardiovascular event such as a heart attack or stroke. These walkers were given red ball caps to wear during the walk, courtesy of Tenet Healthcare Foundation.
Tenet Georgia also is one of the title sponsors of the Go Red For Women campaign with the Atlanta chapter of the American Heart Association.
