Mothers and Daughters
Join a female healthcare professional to learn about puberty. Topics include menstrual cycle, female anatomy and physiology, and the physical and emotional changes of preteens. Cost is $5 per class. Call 770-751-2660 to register.
August 23, 10:30 a.m.
Surgical Weight Loss Management
A community education program that includes general information on obesity and surgical treatment options for morbid obesity for those 100 pounds or more overweight. Information regarding the screening process for bariatric surgery including psychological screening, pre-surgical blood work and surgical nutritional screening will be reviewed. At the end of the meeting a detailed medical questionnaire will be give out.

Hip and Knee Pain Seminars
Topics include hip and knee pain, joint pain, arthritis treatment options, surgery, rehabilitation and nutrition. Free. Classroom D of the hospital.

Diabetes Self Management Class
Topics include: What is Diabetes, Living with Diabetes, Exercise, Monitoring, Medications, Low Blood Sugar, Meal Planning, Sick Day Care, Long-term Complications, Personal Health Habits, Behavior Change, and Community Resources. Support Groups
Bosom Buddies Support Group
Free group meeting that provides support and education to women during the diagnosis, treatment and recovery from breast cancer. No reservation is required. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month and are held in Classroom D. Call Clara Walton at 770-849-0285 to register.
Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Support Groups
All are held in the Medical Office Building adjacent to the hospital.

Diabetes Support Group
This group provides education and support for diabetics, family members and caregivers. Meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in Classroom B of the hospital. For more information, please call 770-889-7577.
Look Good, Feel Better
Look Good, Feel Better is a free national public service program to help women undergoing cancer treatment learn to cope with the appearance-related side effects of treatment and regain a sense of self confidence and control over their lives. These side effects may includes hair loss as well as changes in complexion and fingernails which may be emotionally and psychologically traumatizing. These sessions are held the third Monday of each month from 3-5 p.m. in the Palm Room of the hospital. Please call 800-395-5665 for more information.
